What can you bring to the conversation?

There isn’t anything you need to prepare before you come and talk to me.

You can bring a specific problem, a decision you’re struggling with, a pattern you keep repeating, or simply a feeling that something isn’t quite working.

You don’t have to know exactly what you need. We can start with what is happening and see where it takes us.

We start with where you are

Of course, we start with what you want as an outcome — what you would like to be different.

From there, we usually work with a situation where the pattern you want to change is already showing up. Something that happened recently. Something you remember clearly. Something you can feel and describe.

That’s useful because you are already connected to it. From there, we can follow the thread and see where it leads.

And you don’t have to know the whole story. Sometimes the connections become clearer as we work. Sometimes they don’t need to be explored at all. We only go where it is useful — and where you are ready to go.

I’ll explain some of the ways I work further down.

We follow the trail mindfully and let it become clearer as we go.

How I work

There isn’t one method I use for everyone.

Depending on what we discover, I may work with EFT, NLP, CBT-inspired techniques, inner-child work and other approaches from my practice.

But before any method, I pay attention to the way you talk to yourself, the judgements you make about yourself, and the places where you don’t yet feel safe to look. These are there for a reason, and I don’t rush to change them or heal anything. We work on softening them, so there is space to really look — a little like learning to look at yourself as you might look at an innocent child.

Creating a kind, curious and non-judgemental space inside yourself is part of the foundation of our work. It doesn’t have to be perfect. We build it as we go, whenever and wherever it is needed.

In our sessions, you are free to work with me on whatever matters to you. I will keep reminding you of the outcome you wanted when we started, while the direction is yours. Together, we follow the trail.

From understanding to actually doing

Understanding something intellectually is often only the beginning. You may know perfectly well that you should say no, stop overreacting, speak up, or stop worrying about what others think — and still find yourself doing exactly what you didn’t intend to do.

So we don’t stop at insight. We work with your experience, because that is where real change happens.

Real change can be surprisingly ordinary. It often shows up in exactly the things you wanted to be different. But you don’t actively control that change. It happens.

For example:

Maybe you used to say yes when you really wanted to say no. And one day you realise you’ve just said no — without the guilt, the elaborate explanation, or even much thought. You wonder when that changed. Strange, you just changed. Like how a scab that suddenly disappeared, while you saw it healing, you didnt realise when it was done and fell off.

Or perhaps you used to get caught in the same arguments with your family. This time you catch yourself, the angry words already on your lips. This time, you express your emotion instead of firing first. The arguments become shorter. The relationship softens. Eventually, you realise that something that used to occupy so much space in your life simply vanished.

Or perhaps you’ve spent years wondering which version of yourself is acceptable to show the world. You worry about your clothes, your choices, what people will think. And then one day you walk out wearing what you happened to put on that morning — and realise you didn’t think about it at all.

Oops. Something changed.

That’s the kind of change we’re looking for. Not just knowing what you should do, but finding that you are actually doing — and being — something different. Not less, but more you.

These are just a few examples of what change can look like. There are many, many more — and they can be about completely different things.

How would you like to see your own outcome?

If that opened something for you, but you’d like to talk to someone about it, I’m just a click away.

I love having these conversations with people. I love stories, and I love being able to contribute to them.

You don’t have to have decided that you want to work with me, and you definitely won’t waste my time.

Different ways of working together

There isn’t one right way to do this work.

Sometimes there is one particular thing you want to change, and a handful of sessions is enough to make a real difference.

Sometimes, as we work, you discover there is more you’d like to explore. Then we simply give ourselves more time and space.

And sometimes you know from the beginning that you want to take a proper look at the bigger picture of your life.

Focused Work

For one particular issue or outcome. We work intensively with that and see what changes.

Deeper Journey

For when there is more to untangle, or when you want to give yourself the time and space for deeper work.

The Life That Is Yours

For when you feel that what you really want isn’t to solve one particular problem, but to look at how you are living your life as a whole — and what would make it feel more like yours.

Sometimes you just want to talk.

You don’t always need a programme. Sometimes you just want half an hour with someone outside your usual circle — someone who will listen, be curious, and give you another perspective.
